This is one of a series of workshops with friendly, supportive coaching that can lead to casting in productions great and small.

Sing Along: Acoustic Roots Session with Rebecca Lynn
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 28 , 7 PM
Looking for a place to break out that guitar, fiddle, mandolin, or banjo and celebrate American music? Join the circle at Collage for an evening of music and song that celebrates traditions including Appalachian, old-time, country blues, and acoustic folk. Rebecca Lynn will lead the session, which will finish with a jam on a classic. Sign up to get a list of some tunes that will be played during the evening, or drop in!

Advanced Vocal Studies with Rebecca Lynn
SATURDAYS, OCTOBER 31, and NOVEMBER 7, 10 AM
You've built a foundation in breath support, posture, vowel placement, and phrasing. Now, take your vocal skills further by deepening these techniques and learn to sing harmonies. There is always more to learn in the world of music and vocal studies, and in this session for singers who have some previous experience, Rebecca Lynn will help you reach the next level.

Harbor Rhythms Drum Session with Jon Poli
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 7 PM
Love making music with your drums, and looking for a session that’s about finding that groove and embellishing it? Professional musician and drummer Jon Poli anchors this evening that includes a little music education and a lot of playing along. Bring your congas, bongos, bodhran, darbuka, or whatever - we have a few to loan, but you may have to share those. We’ll have our kit set up and ready for an evening of percussion magic.

Sea Shanty Sing at Collage
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 7 PM
Sea shanties have been sung in San Pedro since the days when square-riggers were the main form of transportation here, and old sea songs and new ring out at Collage on the second Wednesday of every month. Join leaders Steve Saunders and Chris Halsted for an evening of nautical merriment, and engage with the community that loves this music.

Sunday Ukulele Jam with Taeri & Katie
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2 PM
Join Taeri Schiffman and Katie Blanchard of Popoki House every Third Sunday of the month from 2 PM to 4 PM for our revamped Ukulele Jam. Sign up in advance to get a list of tunes to be played and the sheet music. There will be time for solo tunes if there is a favorite you would like to share. All skill levels welcome!

Open Jazz Jam
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 7 PM
Catch a groove as we play through jazz standards and free jams for two hours of creative improvisation. We provide the piano, drum kit, guitar and bass amps, and PA system, you bring your instrument and skill. Singers welcome - we’ll have the mics set up. These jams are led by a trio of experienced musicians who keep the music moving, and are open to all ages. If you’re not sure of your skill, come and watch, and join in when the spirit moves you.
